Responding to the changing needs of people with learning disabilities.

Stanley Grange is one of eight communities providing support through a variety of accommodation options and day services for men and women with a learning disability. We are able to offer an increasing range of services including respite and supported employment.

We have a range of residential accommodation which ensures privacy, appropriate levels of personal security and meets the needs of individuals. Each resident has a private room, shares a range of communal facilities and is supported by a team of staff.

The range of provision includes- Small group living within CARE community houses in the local community. More independent accommodation with or without support. Domiciliary support services, Respite services, Special accommodation for those with additional needs.

A range of daytime activities, designed to meet the needs and aspirations of the individual, which actively encourage people to: Use their time positively and productively Develop vocational skills through training by professional staff Achieve nationally recognised qualifications.

Be supported in obtaining work experience and/or employment Undertake further training in local colleges, etc. Experience a range of therapeutic and leisure activities including pottery, craft, woodwork, photography, IT, catering, horticulture, estates, maintenance, relaxation, cycling, walking, music, social evenings, ad hoc visits/days out, conservation work, digital camera course, photography, swimming, wall climbing, trampolines and hydro.
