To enable children and adults with severe learning disabilities and a need for close at hand individual tailored support to lead an ordinary life of their own choosing in their own neighborhood.

People using Linkability’s services in Lancashire will normally have roots in the area covered currently by Lancashire Social Services, Chorley and South Ribble Partnership Board.
Linkability recognises that children and adults with severe learning disabilities can be able bodied, have sensory and physical disabilities and may well present patterns of behaviour which challenge existing services.

Since 2009 Linkability has developed services on behalf of Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council providing supported living and homecare services based on its core values as developed originally in Lancashire.

Central to its mission is Linkability’s Investment in People and it’s staffing, of which training and development will pervade the whole organisation.

Linkability works with local colleges and universities to provide practice placement opportunities for students undertaking social work and nursing training.
